Lime mint is a shorter, semi-trailing, rounder leaved mint with a pleasant fruity smell reminiscent of limes. Great in containers or as a pleasant smelling ground cover in a permaculture food forest. Foodie bar tenders could have fun matching it up with a number of adult libations for a unique twist. Lime mint is also delicious with melons and in sorbets. Lime Mint spreads via rhizomes, so you may wish to contain it in a pot. Gets 1-2 feet high and grows in USDA zones 5-9. Flowers are usually purple. Like all mints, Lime Mint is easy to grow and hard to kill. Mint is an herb which aids in digestion.
